Apple Stock Soars, Then Dips

So the other day we saw Apple rise above $200. That’s exciting, and I’m really happy about it. Of course, I have my reserves too. I look now and they’re around $194. Still pretty good.

What I’d like to talk about, though, is the overwhelming buzz the over $200 stock caused. You had a lot of excited people. You had a lot of pissed off people and naysayers.

FCX in the News June 11th 2008

The wall street journal website reported that Vale, the Brazilian miner will sell up to $15 Billion dollars in shares. To speculate what they might do with this money, they mention that FCX one of our favourites here, could be a way for the miner to enter into the red hot copper market. Mid day market review May 21st, 2008

The down is down about 80 points at midday today as oil has hit yet another new high crossing the 132$ a barrel mark.  Look for the fed minutes at 2 to set the pace for the rest of the week in the market.  Expect oil and commodities to pull back slightly in the future as they have had quite a run.

Market recap May 20th, 2008

The market sold off after a few solid days of price rises in stocks.  Oil crossed 129$ a barrel as commodities and ag bucked the down trend.  Mad money did a special on dry bulk shippers last night officially signaling a near term top.  I sold my GNK at 81 early last week and will buy back in at between 65 and 70.

Mid Day Market Recap May 19th, 2008

At mid day today we have the market relatively flat after soaring early from better than expected economic figures.  Tech is struggling to gain any footing today and commodities are leading the market once again.
